The result

A season of retro-arcade broadcast spots that made race day feel like a game, aired on NBC.

My roleI directed the concept and design of the arcade-themed broadcast spots, from look through motion.

01 · The idea

Retro-inspired motion ads blending classic arcade aesthetics with modern broadcast energy, reimagining Tetris and PAC-MAN through speed, rhythm, and race-day intensity.

Take the feeling of a race, the speed, the rhythm, the near-misses, and translate it into the visual language of the games everyone already loves.
02 · The spots

Race day, pixelated.

TetrisStacking cars into the race-day grid
PAC-MANChase, dodge, and chomp down the straightaway
03 · Why it worked
01
Instant nostalgia

Borrowing beloved arcade icons made the spots feel familiar and shareable on sight.

02
Speed as rhythm

Arcade pacing mapped perfectly to the tempo and tension of a race broadcast.

03
Broadcast polish

Playful concept, professional execution, tuned for NBC's on-air standard.

Same muscle as the fight-week work: a clear creative idea, executed with motion craft and broadcast polish, built to make a moment memorable rather than just seen.
